| The Glock 23 is a 19 factory modified to shoot .40 S&W; the Glock 32 is 23 factory modified to shoot .357 Sig.
You sound like you're describing a second generation Glock (if I'm understanding you right). Now the Glock 32 can take a .40 S&W barrel and work, but I'd check with Glock before trying a .357 Sig barrel on a Model 23 because the .357 Sig is a very intense (high pressure) cartridge.
Get Glock's 1-800 # and ask them.
Best.

| The 3rd generatiom model 23 (.40 caliber) will take a .357 sig barrel (Model 32) and shoot just fine. This isn't recommended for early generation models. It sounds like you have an early generation model or that you bought a used gun which someone reassembled with various parts. Call or email Glock. |
