→ | Glock 23 VS. Glock 27?? |
| | By Yahoo Answers | | 2007-07-10 21:12:19 | | I only recently (within the last six months) purchased a Glock 22.. and I have to say, I friggin' love it. The only problem that I have with her is that she's a little too big to carry concealed. As such, I've started looking at smaller versions of the .40 cal. (i.e. - the 23 or the 27) I haven't had a chance to test fire either, but I am curious to see what other people prefer. | | Answered By: Dylan | |
| | I myself am not a GLOCK person, but I have shot several. I thought that the G27 was too small and was a little uncomfortable for me to shoot. The G23 is slightly bigger and feels much better to hold. If you were going to use it as a CC weapon, the G27 would be a better choice, if it fits you that is, because of the smaller size and lighter weight. If it is too small for your tastes the G23 isn't a bad choice. Out of those two I like the GLOCK 23 better, but only because it feels better to use. The G23 and G27 are both great weapons for concealed carry, pick which one fits you the best. |

My wife shoots it, she's a small woman 5'2 130Lbs. As far a cocealing it, there are no problems hiding it somewhere on a 6ft 230Lbs body, but it is all personal preference.
I have picked up a G27 thinking that it would make a perfect CC gun, but something about the size just doesn't feel right to me, or my wife for that matter, and shes the one with the small hands! She is more comfy with the G23.
If given the choice between the two, I would go with the G23. But that's coming from a guy who likes 1911's and full framed, steel guns. Don't get me wrong, I like the Glocks, but I prefer my Kimber. My choice for a CC gun would be a toss up between a G23 or a Kimber UCDP, or possibly a Kimber Ten II Ultra. But...there's still nothing wrong with the Gocks! | | | | User: The Liist | | I myself carry the Glock 19 compact. That's about the same size as Glock 23. I also bought it for the same reason as you're going to do. I had a Glock 17 but it was a little too big.
I would prefer Glock 23, the subcompact size can only fit three fingers and not enough rounds.
Glock 19 is small enough to conceal, but large enough to have the proper sights for the flash sight picture and front sight focus.
I would recommend the G23. | | | | User: Dylan | | I myself am not a GLOCK person, but I have shot several. I thought that the G27 was too small and was a little uncomfortable for me to shoot.
