| Wolf makes .223 real cheap but it is steel. Cheaperthandirt.com has it as well as other types of ammo. Gun shows have it cheap and you don't have to pay shipping, ammo shipping is pricey since it is so heavy. There are trade offs on quality and cost... quality new manufacture American made ammo is pricey, you can get Russian junk made of steel that stinks like burning plastic and leaves a thick black layer of gunk on everything including your clothes. A good compromise is Lake City reloads, they take good brass from military shooting ranges and reload it... it is cheaper than new manufacture but it is also brass and has good components. |

| Simple answer here.
For the .40 and the .38, the only choice is Walmart, at $22 per 100rds of .40, and $16 per 100 rounds of .38 yoou are not likely to beat that price online due to higher shipping rates.
As for the .223, all I can gurantee is cheaper prices at gun shows than anywhere else. |
