| I took my Beretta in hand when an idiot burst into my hotel room. My son was in the other bed (baby). Weapon pointed at him, finger not in trigger guard because I wasn't yet sure he needed to die.
MAINTENANCE GUY with a master key! He had a big fluorescent bulb in his hand; he was supposed to be changing the bulb in the next door room.
Know your target. Someone else might have capped him. |

| Yes I had some one walk up to me with his hands in his pockets, wanting to rob me. I ordered him to take his hands out of his pockets and when he did he had a knife and came at me. I shot twice both hits in a nonfatal area of the body. |

| I almost always carry my duty weapon or at least my backup with me any place I go. I've never had to draw on someone when not in uniform but it is always in the back of my mind. |
