Anyone else ever had problems with their internal lasermax for a Glock model 21?

I've got a great lasermax internal laser for my Glock 21. The problem I am having is inconsistency. Sometimes, the laser works, sometimes it does not. I know that I've installed the mechanism correctly and that the gold contact point needs to touch the barrel, but sometimes she just won't turn on. I need it to work as it is my favorite gun and I need it to be 100% reliable. Anyone else ever had problems with a lasermax product?

Lasermax has NEVER had a good reputation, at least none that I've heard. I've heard from many others at my range about them not working, or only working sometimes, the don't hold zero, etc etc. You'd be better off with a crimson-trace, it might cost more, but it works, and hold zero!

As a Dealer, I have to agree with what you have already been told. Lasermax internal laser's are nothing but trouble. I am getting constant complaints from customers (Who have bought them elsewhere)..They won't turn on..when they do they suddenly shut off without warning...They "blink" on and off as if they are shorting out...bad barrel contacts..bad switches..the list goes on and on....I would spend the extra money and get a better quality laser sight. The Lasermax isn't worth the trouble..Seriously...

I don't want to sound like a butthead, But about the only thing you can do is send it back and maybe they will replace it or fix it. My personal recomendation is that you sell it and pick yourself up a Streamlight M6 or something comparable that is quick release And external. For 1 main reason Glock's work great till you use non factory parts. The Lasermax could cause the gun to fail. If you have a external laser and it breaks the gun will still work perfectly. If you have an older generation Glock without a attachment rail, Glock can replace you frame with the newest generation for a fee.

They offer two models for the 21 - for the two different frame types. The one kit includes a spacer, to prevent the lasermax from slipping .010 - .020 into the reciever and not making contact with the release lever (switch) Make sure you bought the right one for your glock. Mine has worked great, until the plastic battery cover broke off. They replaced it for free. And it is supposed to blink when it is on. It helps you find the dot during daylight.
