Glock makes fine pistols, but I don't like the Glock 27, because the grip is too small; my little finger is "in the air" on that grip. That makes the muzzle harder to control, especially with a moderately heavy round like the .40. Let me recommend you rearrange your thinking just a little if you intend to use the weapon for self-defense. You don't want the "deadliest" ammo. What you want is to end the threat as quickly as possible. That is best accomplished by imparting as much energy as possible to the target. According to Guns & Ammo, the .40 achieves maximum energy in the 155 grain JHP. Of course, you also need to be able to control the pistol, so you may be more comfortable with some other load. Remember, any round that hits its target is more effective than one that doesn't.

I heard of blue tips I dunno the actual name thats just the street name but apparently it has some chemical in the tip so if you get hit and the bullet wont kill you the poison will.

any ammo you buy will be better than the gun you bought.

all ammo is deadly. If you were law enforcement, you'd know, thats why i wont tell you which is better than the other

My Glock 27 prefers Cor-Bon ammo and it's hot stuff. The "Blue Tips" the last guy is referring to are "Glaser Safety Slugs", they are NOT poisonous but are DAMNED effective. Glaser also makes a Silver Tip that's designed to defeat glass / sheet metal before expanding. Your Glock will handle ANY factory loaded ammo available but they are not designed to be used with lead bullets. My duty weapon is loaded with 180gr. Gold Dots and they are nothing to sneeze at either.

You are the reason there are gun control laws. You are a walking risk to mankind, especially responsible gun owners. Why do you need the "deadliest" ammo there is? Are you James Bond and have a license to kill? What are you doing shooting several people a day to protect the USA from terrorism? Is this Jack Bauer? My guess is if someone said boo! to you, you would wet your pants. Then the big meany would take your gun away from you and now a criminal has a nice gun with the "deadliest" ammo there is. So let me give you some advice, Dirty Harry, sell your gun and buy a cat. Stay home away from the big bad world.

i agree with the post above. why would u be concerned with doing "the most damage to a person"? i wonder what state you live in that lets barely litterate people have permits so they can be "leagle" to carry weapons...

You do not want deadly ammo, you want ammo with stopping power. The point is not to kill, it is to halt the threat that is imminent at the moment. If I could carry a round that stopped the bad guy with one shot without killing them, you better believe I'd have it. Try hollow points.

i have a glock 17 and a 357 magnum and i love my federal hydra shock. from what i heard winchester ranger ammo is just like there ammo black talon which they took off the market cuz it was too lethal. the only difference is that the tips aren't black. not sure if it is true but i was searching online to get black talons for my gun and i saw that.

where i live they are very strict about guns,so we have to carry sling shots even they are not legal, but i use gold tipped stones, with deadly force.
