| | I second the recommendation of getting the full sized glock 20 rather than the 29
Also, to the "sniper"
"I would recommend any glock but id personally get a larger caliber such as a .40 or .45"
You realize the 10mm has more energy at 100 yards than the 45 acp has at the muzzle, right?
You also realize that the 10mm was adopted by the FBI, but too many agents couldn't handle it, so it was downloaded for a while, then some smart folks decided to just cut the case down shorter and have a smaller round, they called it the 40 S&W. So the 40 is just a 10mm short girly men! Those in the know call it the 40 Short and Weak
Now, I am not disparaging the 40, I like it fine. I am just saying that the whole concept of "you need something more potent than the 10mm, like a 40 S&W" is just plain backwards and solidly wrong. |
| User: MikeDawg | | Its a great gun. Check out GlockTalk. I personally like .45 ACP over 10mm just because the availability and cost of the ammo. | | | | User: Stevi S | | Glocks are awesome weapons but, like the post above, I prefer the .45 acp myself for the same reasons. | | | | User: !!SNIPER!! | | I would recommend any glock but id personally get a larger caliber such as a .40 or .45 | | | | User: H | | Great gun, I own the Model 20 and it is my everyday duty weapon. The recoil of the Model 29 Glock will get your attention, but if you want a subcompact 10mm that's the one to get.
H | | | | User: pathfinder | | The Glock model 29 is the subcompact or the "baby Glock" in 10mm. and the model 20 is the full size model. The 10mm is no lightweight in recoil, so my suggestion to you is, unless you are an experience gunhand, or want to devote lots of time learning to handle the recoil and shoot it well, get the model 20. | | | | User: akluis | | I second the recommendation of getting the full sized glock 20 rather than the 29

It kicks more than the Glock 20, of course, but the kick is nothing that you can't manage if you really want to. I think it is a great pistol. Very powerful for its size and weight, and easy to carry all day. | | |
