What do you think of the Glock 29 as a sidearm during hunting trips?

I figurd 200gr 10mm ought to be enough for defensive purposes...

Yeah, that would probably stop a mountain lion and wolf quite quickly. That would also be the best autoloader cartridge for grizzly bears, but shooting at them is a risky proposition from what I've heard and read. Seems that if you don't kill them in one shot, then they'll get quite angry and become so very lethal, themselves. If you do get that sub compact, though, you'll need extensive practice with it. The full size (Glock 20) would certainly be more manageable to use, and doesn't weigh much more than the subcompact (Glock 29).

You better practice until you become good with this midget of a gun, especially one chambered in the 10mm. It is a handful to control.I would opt for the full size model.

It's illegal to carry any semiauto while hunting in my state. Revolvers only, so for me that wouldn't work. Check your local hunting regs before you go out.
