by Yahoo Answers: | → | →Is there a "gray" color frame(reciever) for the Glock 32? And if it does exist, where can I get one? Thanks! - | | 2007-07-28 13:36:37 | | G32, Factory frame colored Gray. | | Answered By: JD
| | As a Gunshop Ownber/Dealer I checked on availability of the Glock32 .357 SIG caliber in a Gray Polymer frame model. I was told by the Glock Factory Rep that the only Gray framed glocks that are out are police factory sample guns, that Glock provides to many police agencies/departments interested in converting to Glock sidearms. They are not and will not be available to the civilian market for sale. All retail guns are available in the Blue/Black finish.
Recently I did receive some literature on a new aluminum frame manufactured to fit the Glock series but it is a satin finished aluminum and isn't available for sale yet. It is NOT manufactured by Glock but made as an aftermarket product from anoither company unrelated to Glock.
| → | →Does the grip on all years of the Glock 23, have a "cut out" on the front of the grip?? | | 2007-02-21 09:16:36 | | My Glock 23 does not seem to match pics of others I have looked at. On the front of the grip, located underneath the trigger at the height of the pinky finger, is some sort of factory "cut out" shaped in an almost half moon... Looking at the Glock website the Glock 32 is the only other model shown to have that. Problem is my gun is a .40 sw and the model 32 is .357......could my action and grip/trigger mech have been exchanged, or will the gun malfunction. | | Answered By: The Big Shot | |
| | The 3rd generatiom model 23 (.40 caliber) will take a .357 sig barrel (Model 32) and shoot just fine. This isn't recommended for early generation models. It sounds like you have an early generation model or that you bought a used gun which someone reassembled with various parts. Call or email Glock. | |

| → | →which handgun/pistol in .32 caliber can store 17 rounds.? | | 2008-01-25 10:20:14 | | which handgun/pistol in .32 caliber can store 17 rounds in magazine similar to glock 17.? | | Answered By: curmudgeon1955 | |
| | Taurus supposed to have a double stack .32 model about 15 rounds+. Is built on the 9mm M99? full size frame and is mostly sold in Brazil- something about the .32 being allowed for civilian use with minimum paperwork where 9mm size - including .380- is considered a military/police use. Model 57 comes to mind, can't be sure. Was noted to be big enough to import in US. France has somewhat similar law situation for military surplus, replicas- civilian owned model of some legal in non military chambering, MAB15 framed pistol in .32 could be legal for civilians and is used in movies , the semi auto civilian 'Clarion' is chambered for .222 instead of military .223/5.56. | |
| → | →32 acp. pros and cons? | | 2008-01-01 18:03:49 | | What are the pros and cons of the 32acp.
i want to get one of the kel-tec p32 pistols but i want to make sure that 32 acp is a good round. it will also be for self defense. i know there are tuns of guns for that and i already have a glock i just like the p32 becauce the size and the looks and it feels good in my hand. | | Answered By: boker_magnum
| | Considering that the 7.65 browning was the sidearm of choice for decades in europe and parts of the old soviet bloc, it has a long history of service. Modern 7.65, or 32acp as it's called now days is still a reliable CLOSE QUARTERS defensive round. Notice how i said close quarters? I'm talking 2-3 feet away using jhp ammo, it's what is known as a "get off me gun" around here. There are much MUCH better calibers for defensive shooting, but if you're set on 32 acp it will get the job done. Of course shot placement is key to successful defensive shooting, but at 2 to 3 feet away, pretty much you're going to hit what you want to hit. | |
| → | →About home defense? | | 2007-10-03 00:35:25 | | What do i need to know about home defense i have a glock 32 357 sig.
just need to know if there are eny laws i need to know about i live in cali. | | Answered By: Petro
| | There are tons of laws you need to know about, much more than can be covered here.
Note that I am NOT a lawyer, this is not legal advice, and I may be *completely* wrong about my understanding of the law.
Hitting the high points:
The test for "self defense" is generally three parts:
1) Proximity--would a reasonable person believe that your attacker close enough to harm you.
2) Intent--would a reasonable person believe that your attacker intended to harm you.
3) Capability--would a reasonable person believe that your attacker had the capability to cause you severe harm or death.
Notice the "reasonable person" in the above? Reasonable People. California. (I live there too).
The other big thing to keep in mind is that if you don't lock your firearm up and a kid gets ahold of it and does *anything* illegal you could go to jail. Plan/act accordingly.
This sounds like I'm anti-self-defense with a gun, I'm not, I'm actually strongly in favor of it, it's just risky in CA.
Try these:

Also consider spending some time and money on firearms classes--you want to be the best shot possible.
"equal_opposites":
You do not register a handgun in California unless you move in from out of state (and even then there's question as to whether the state can force you to register them, it's probably an equal protection violation). When you buy or transfer a firearm there is a criminal background check run (Federal), and a DROS (Dealer Record of Sale) at the state level, but this is not legally a registration. If you owned a handgun prior to these laws being enacted (like the freaking stone age) there is no requirement to fill out paperwork on them.
However if you bought it recently w/out going through a dealer, then you may want to make that right.
