  • →Glock 22 and Glock 20?
    2008-02-12 23:03:29
I want to know if the glock 20 gun can take Glock 22 magazines. If you can't find 10MM ammo can you use 40S&W ammo in the Glock 20? I heard 10MM and 40S&W are the same bullet size. Have you ever used 40S&W in a 10MM gun?

You have several questions here. Fortunately I am the #1 fan of the Glock Model 20 10mm: First: No, the Glock Model 20 & Glock Model 22 magazines are NOT interchangeable. The Model 20 is a slightly larger frame size than the Model 22. Can you use .40 S&W ammo in the Glock Model 20? Yes & no. You can (not recommended) drop a single .40 into the chamber & fire it but it will not chamber the .40 without a barrel change. You can purchase extra barrels for your Model 20 in .357 Sig or .40 S&W and use this ammo with your Model 20 magazines. Works better with the Sig caliber due to the bottleneck design. Last: Yes, 10mm & .40 S&W are the same bullet diameter but diffenent length sizes. Lastly, the .40 S&W is NOT a shortened 10mm. The 10mm uses a large pistol primer and the .40 uses a small pistol primer. Same thing with the .357 Sig, it uses a small pistol primer. H I see you've added another question: NO, I've never fired a .40 out of 10mm but will probably buy the replacement barrel in .357 Sig. With the 10mm I really don't see any need for the .40 S&W caliber. H

About six or six and a half new. I bought a good used one for five hundred. I'd like another one and am willing to pay the price for new. That's how much I like the Model 20 10mm. H

It depends on how crazy you want to get. The good thing about glocks is you can make them into what ever you disire without being at the mercy of a gunsmith. First thing I would change are the sights. Depending on what your plans are for that particular pistol. Dawson precision makes really nice adjustable sights for glocks http://www.dawsonprecision.com. But if you want fixed Night Sights I'd either go with Meprolite, Trijicon, Or Heinie Slant Pro's. After Sights I always work on the trigger alittle bit just to smoothen things up. You can do so here http://www.alpharubicon.com/mrpoyz/glock/ Good thing about glock triggers are you can make them in different variations using different components. You can even give it a 2lb pull with a wolff competition spring pack and alittle polishing. Next thing I always do is add grip tape cause I hate that slippery plastic feel. You can buy it pre cut, or get a whole sheet at your local skate board shop for about $5 then cut it anyway you wish. Next I like to change the mag springs to Wolff or ISMI cause the factory ones suck and become weak way to fast. Some people change the guide rods right off the back but it isn't something you "have to" do. I have a non- captive tungeston guide rod in my g35, non-captive stainless steel in my g22 race gun, and the factory guide rod in my carry g23. I chose non-captive cause it's easier to change spring weights but is more dificult assembeling and disassembeling the pistol then using a captive guide rod cause you have to play with that spring alittle longer. It's really about what you want to use it for. I would shoot it with the standard barrel and then decide later. You can even get an aftermarket 6in slide for it if you want to spend the money. The sky's the limit with glocks Technically with a converson barrel you can convert your G20 (10mm) to fire 9x21, 9x23, .40S&W, and 357sig ammo. I love talking about glocks so if you have any questions feel free to email me.
  • →20$ Bet : does a semi-auto glock pistol shoot automatically? do you have to keep clicking the trigger?
    2007-09-13 21:39:18
can you just hold the trigger and it will shoot until the clip is empty? or do you have to constantly keep clicking the trigger in order for it to shoot?
    Answered By: Gray Wanderer
I hope you are not the sucker that bet that a semi-auto would fire full auto. If you are, get your wallet out because you lost, since semi-auto is one trigger pull per shot. Even if it is converted to full-auto or selective fire then it is no longer a semi-auto, so the person who bet that a semi-auto would fire full-auto STILL loses the bet since a full-auto is not the subject of the bet.
  • →Glock slides?
    2006-09-07 10:54:48
I am looking for a website that sells stainless steel glock slides for a Glock 17 or Glock 20.
    Answered By: H
I have never seen a Glock stainless steel slide, only Glock slides that were nickel-plated. I have seen stainless steel barrels made for Glock by other manufacturers. Personally I like to keep my Glocks all Glock, but if you have a fancy for a different finish on your Glock slide then you should just look into having it nickel plated. There are many good finishes available. Check with a competent gunsmith. NOTE: I learned to LOVE the 'ugly' black finish on my service Glock after one felony suspect I had to hold at gun-point commented on his way to the jail, "That is the biggest, baddest, ugliest gun I have ever seen!" To which I replied, "Stop exaggerating; it's only a .10mm!" H
