  • →Ruger p90 Vs. Glock 30???
    2008-03-14 04:09:51
I am torn. I have a buddy who is wanting to trade me straight up; my ruger p90 for his glock 30. I already have a polymer gun (s&w m&p) and I love the feel of the cold hard steel of the ruger. But... It's a Glock... Same cal. What do you think??? PS - Both guns are in great shape. Well kept and well cleaned.

I prefer the Ruger over Glock, but he would be loosing the money. Which one do you like shooting better? Why? Why does he want to ruger so bad? I mean if all else fails you could always switch back or sell the Glock and get something new. Good luck
  • →Anyone here have a Glock 30?

I am thinking about getting one today.I have a Glock 21 and I really like it but it is just a little too big for concealed carry. Is the 30 as good as the 21.One of the other reasons I want it is because I have many Hi cap mags for my 21 that will work in the 30 and I have lots of 45 ammo.

Well Glock is not my first choice in handgun... But the 30 is exactly the same as the 21, just smaller.
  • →i need help on a glock 30 cleaning and technical issues...?
    2007-08-24 11:01:36
first of all i need to know how to properley clean my glock 30. i know how to completley strip it, i just need to know what to oil and clean and how often. and i have a magazine issue. i have two mags. one falls right out when i press the release and the other will not, i have to pull it out... whats wrong? any tips? i love my glock and i personally feel its a good strong pistol. any tips though would greatly help. thanks!

There's nothing wrong with your Glock or magazines. Some are made to drop free, others have to be pulled out. Decide which ones you like and order more. Since you know how to strip your Glock, safely disassemble it and wipe everything down. Run a patch soaked with solvent like Hoppe's #9 through the barrel and clean patches until the desired cleanliness is achieved. Repeat process if necessary. Use a small amount of solvent on cotton patch or Q-tip to remove powder residue on frame, slide, etc. Wipe clean. Put a small amount of gun oil (something w/Teflon is good) on the rails and metal frame rail supports. Wipe your recoil spring clean. Wipe away excess oil. Re-assemble. Disassemble the magazines carefully and run a clean cloth through the magazine body. Wipe everything else clean and DO NOT use oil on magazines. Re-assemble and you're good to go. H
  • →Glock 30: 9rnds or 10?
    2006-10-26 20:52:28
The mag is labeled 10rnds, the manual says "10 (9)". What the heck does that mean? Is it the spring not broken in? Or is GLOCK really up to no good.... True If I knew my glock would only hold 9rnds of JHP,... I probably wouldnt have bought it.
    Answered By: officer2312
Glock model 30 holds 10 rounds of .45acp. Don't ask me what the (9) is about...I'd have to go to glock and check it out, and, quite frankly, I'm too damned lazy to do that right now. G30 holds ten rounds. Till you get the spring broke in, it's a pain in the butt to get the last one in, if you load mags the way I see most folks load them. Don't ask me why most folks do it they way they do...there are easier ways...or maybe you just have to have big hands to do it...
  • →What is the recommended ammo and grain to use for the Glock 30 .45 caliber?

    Answered By: John
I like 230 gr. Federal Hydra-Shok or 230 gr. Hornady TAP. They are easy on the pistol and don't have much muzzle flash.
