  • →Does the S&W .357 and the Glock 31 .357 shoot the same ammo?
    2007-08-10 12:52:31
I have two S&W .357s. I am looking at buying an Automatic handgun and I like GLOCKS. I found the GLOCK 31 which fires .357 . Can I shoot the same bullets from my S&W and the GLOCK? The Glock ammo says its .357 SIG. Is this different? This would be an advantage in only having to fire one type of ammo if they were the same.

No, the revolver shoots a slightly longer round and has a large base on the cartridge so it will fit into the cylinder. The Glock fires an automatic round with a smaller base so it can fit into the chamber of the simi-automatic hand gun. It has a little lip on it just big enough for the extractor to grab to pull it out of the chamber and eject it.
  • →Hi-cap magazine pouches for glock 17 31 rounders?
    2008-01-06 03:33:38
I've seen on security guard with one before. But he must have custom made it, because I've never seen a high capacity magazine pouch for 31 (33) round capacity magazines for sale before. Does anyone know where I can buy one?

Yes, they are legal in most states and can be bought at quite a few gun shops and shooting supply stores as well as from the factory (www.glock.com) or (www.glockstore.com) has them for 9mm, .40cal and .45ACP. They are expensive as well. IMHO, they are nothing more than impractical accesories that serve little purpose other than it looks "Cool". To be blunt, the Mall Guard you saw with one on his weapon is an idiot.
  • →To those who CCW?
    2007-09-15 16:28:28
I carry concealed because the high risk of being killed and/or robbed because of my job. Ive had my CCW permit now for 2 years and thankfully ive never had to use my firearm (glock model 31) I have had an instance were i had to draw my weapon because of someone who had a hammer and was threatening my wife but luckily ive never had to shoot anyone. My question is, to those who carry ,concealed have you ever had to use your weapon and why?

I took my Beretta in hand when an idiot burst into my hotel room. My son was in the other bed (baby). Weapon pointed at him, finger not in trigger guard because I wasn't yet sure he needed to die. MAINTENANCE GUY with a master key! He had a big fluorescent bulb in his hand; he was supposed to be changing the bulb in the next door room. Know your target. Someone else might have capped him.
  • →glock 31 glock 29 which is more powerfull?
    2007-04-28 23:57:26
do one of them have a firepower edge or does the 10mm work just as powerfull on both
    Answered By: erehwon
10mm Auto (29) - a bit larger bullet moving at a fast speed equals a bit more energy 357 Sig (31)- a smaller bullet moving just a fast, but with a little less energy...but capable of holding more rounds. I think they are both good...bottom line if you do not hit what you are aimimg for it really does not matter what cartridge you are using. Focus on being a better marksman than having a more powerful gun.
  • →Is the the Glock 31 chambered for 40 S&W ammo?

  • →How do I load the bullets into the clip of my Glock 31 (.357 sig)?

    Answered By: H
Hmm. Okay, I'll assume this is a legit question... The Glock Model 31 Magazine is held in your strong hand. The .357 Sig rounds go in your weak hand one at a time. Point the nose part of your cartridges away from the magazine and insert into the magazine lip one at a time. Use your thumb to press them down. Especially if you have the high capacity magazine tap on the base of your magazine every five rounds or so to better accomadate them into place. If the tension is too heavy to fully load then use the 'thumb-saver' that came with your Glock. If you need more help than this then please take the gun safety course and have someone there couch you. Good luck. H
