  • →Between a Glock 32/32c and a Glock 33 which is better?
    2007-06-26 19:59:37
I am going to getting my concealed weapons permit in the upcoming months and was leaning towards buying the Glock 32 or 32c, but I am wondering if that would be too bulky to conceal as opposed to the Glock 33. Obviously the magazine is bigger in the 32 and if there is really no major size difference, then I would probably go with the Glock 32 or Glock 32c. This is going to be my first gun purchase so as if anyone has any recommendations on that too, feel free to share them. I want something that packs a punch(preferably over 9mm), but still has good control and is small enough to conceal without drawing unwanted attention. I was looking at the compact and sub-compact models by HK and Glock because I know they make quality weapons that last. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated because I want to be very satisfied with my final decision . Thanks!!

The 357 Sig. is a great round but even though it's been around for a few years now you still can not find that ammo at Wal-Mart or K-Mart, etc. only the big sporting goods stores like Gander Mt., Dicks, etc. So my pick would be the G27 in the 40S&W, you can find ammo for that just about anywhere and a by far bigger selection.
  • →is it possible to buy 33 rnd mag for glock 17 9mm?

where can I get if possible a high cap mag (33 rnd.) for glock 9mm?
    Answered By: uncle frosty
33-round pistol mags cannot be shipped to addresses in California; Hawaii; Massachusetts; New York; Toledo, Ohio; Chicago, Illinois; Cincinnati, Ohio; New Jersey; Cleveland, Ohio; Columbus, Ohio; Dayton, Ohio; and Maryland. Man, do some of you people just spew the first thing that comes to your mind whether you have a clue or not? I just saw an earlier question where people had voted on an answer that was wrong. If you don't know don't answer and don't vote. First they are legal second they exist without being made at home third it is legal to own magazines that say law enforcement only. I know the last one seems strange but it partly has to do with the expired awb another place to get them is cheaperthandirt.com Boker if you mentioned that one I am sorry
  • →Glock Question?
    2007-08-19 09:57:17
Why does it say in the box not to shoot reloads out of a Glock.I have probly shoot 500 rounds through my model 21 and I had no problems.I do know that I cant shoot lead bullets out of it.My father has a Glock 26 and 33 the 9mm reloads shoot good but the 357 sig jam up alot. Why do they say not to shoot reloads out of a Glock.Alot of my friends shoot reloads out of Glocks too and they never had problems either.
    Answered By: Jon
You answered part of this. Due to the type of rifling you should not shoot lead bullets. The second answer is that some of the chambers are not supported. Every time a case is resized and fired the "web" (the part just above the rim) portion is weakened. After a few reloads on the same brass case it WILL reach a point that the case web will rupture. When that happens it will release all the high pressure gas and cut right through the frame as it is only polymer. This is a very big problem with the 40 cal and 357 sig as it operates at higher pressures than the 9mm and 45. When you shoot a 40 or 357 sig pick up a empty case and roll it on a flat surface and you will see a slight bulge near the bottem. The fix is a simple one, purchase a match barrel that has a supported chamber. These you will be able to shoot reloads through as well as lead bullets as the rifling is cut rifling. Most of the barrels are drop in units that anyone can install. I went with a bar-stol in my competition IPSC gun which is a model 35. It required just a small amount of fitting (note: this was because I bought a over sized unit that required fitting) that I was able to do myself, it is now the most accurate semi auto I have. Good luck and safe shooting.
  • →would a glock 23 be a good gun for concealed carry?
    2008-03-11 12:27:47
would a glock 19 with a 33 round mag be better? i dont understand what hot blue snow is saying why am i AN idiot? hey white folks, there is a difference between fear and being preparred
    Answered By: SteelCityFan13
The glock 23 is an extremely reliable gun to carry. The .40 cal. packs a punch and with the right ammo is a great self-defense/carry gun. However, I have found that the size of the glock 23 makes it somewhat difficult to conceal. With the right clothing I can conceal mine, but like I said it is not always the easiest thing to conceal. Probably not something I would want to carry around everyday. As far as the glock 19, I would not carry that. The 9mm cartridge is not very powerful and not the best self-defense ammo. Also, I have never seen the 33 round clip in a model 19, but I believe they "stick-out" of the bottom of the gun. If this is the case, it would make it even more difficult to conceal than the glock 23.
  • →how can is it that 2 handguns could kill 33 at VTech, but an assault rife only killed 9 at Omaha?
    2007-12-09 15:08:02
How is it that the gunman at Virginia Tech managed to kill 33, making it the school largest massacre ever when he only had two hand guns: A Walther 22-caliber pistol and a Glock 19, yet the killer at Omaha had an AK-47 and only managed to kill nine. One would think that the assault rifle would have the capability to inflict more damage than two handguns would. Is it for reasons that a mall is a wider open space for people to run away, whereas a school building is enclosed with people boxed in? Or is it that a rifle is sloppier and the gunman wasn't required to take such careful aim? I do not know much about firearms or physics. Could somebody with experience offer a theory?
    Answered By: whotoblame
The classrooms at VT were small with only one exit. It was like shooting fish in a barrel. No way to escape. the mall is a much more open area, with multiple exits from which to flee.
  • →Hi-cap magazine pouches for glock 17 31 rounders?
    2008-01-06 03:33:38
I've seen on security guard with one before. But he must have custom made it, because I've never seen a high capacity magazine pouch for 31 (33) round capacity magazines for sale before. Does anyone know where I can buy one?
    Answered By: mebe1042
Yes, they are legal in most states and can be bought at quite a few gun shops and shooting supply stores as well as from the factory (www.glock.com) or (www.glockstore.com) has them for 9mm, .40cal and .45ACP. They are expensive as well. IMHO, they are nothing more than impractical accesories that serve little purpose other than it looks "Cool". To be blunt, the Mall Guard you saw with one on his weapon is an idiot.
