I have a Glock 21 and 30,I was looking at the 36 the other day and it is much smaller than the 30.I was just wondering how the 36 shot and if there is any problems with them.

What kind of holster should I get with it?

My concealed carry pistol is a Springfield Armory XD45 Tactical, carried in a Blackhawk Serpa Carbon paddle holster. Of course, my normal dress is jeans and an untucked shirt, and I have a very athletic build. Most people prefer an inside waistband holster for concealed carry, if they can wear a covering garment, such as an untucked shirt, vest, or coat. Keep in mind that both the Glock and the XD are fairly thick guns. A 1911-style pistol, such as a Kimber Pro Carry, or Kimber Ultra Carry, will probably fit better in your waistband. As for which pistol to get, that's entirely up to you. YOU need to find out which one fits your hand best, and which you're able to shoot best. My personal preference is the XD45 (I'm assuming you're meaning the XD45, since you're also listing the Glock 36). I haven't shot the subcompact version, though, and have no interest in it because I don't like grips that short. I do have both the XD45 Service and Tactical versions, and they're absolutely great guns. I've owned a Glock 30, but got rid of it because I hated the grip. I do like my Glock 19 very much, but I've done a bit of work on the grip, sanding off the finger grooves molded into the frontstrap. Anyway, before I get completely off the subject, get yourself to a gun store and see which feels best for you.
  • →I need opinions on the Glock 36?

I debated between a Glock 21 in .45 ACP and the fairly new Smith and Wesson M&P 45. I chose the M&P based a lot on the ergonomics. I am glad I did, the M&P functions flawlessly, although I will admit I was a little worried at first due to it being a fairly new gun. I don't worry at all anymore. I've put many many rounds through it and it just keeps getting better. There was one failure to fire when I first got it and I wholly blame that on operator error! Give a look at some of the S&W M&P's. If the rest of the lineup is anything like my 45 you won't be disappointed!

  • →Yo! Glock People.... Just teasing. I wanted to get my sister a gun.?
    2007-03-28 22:27:09
I wanted to get my sister a gun. Being an "old school" guy, I suggested a snubby 38, S&W or Taurus. Well she thought it was too bulky etc, etc. Anyway my next choice was a glock. I need your in puts on the Glock 26, 30, 36 slim. Cost wise I was offered a good price by my supplier. What sayeth you?

Congratulations on looking after your sister. Of course you can buy another person a pistol (provided that person can legally own/possess a gun). That said, if she considers the snubby too bulky, what does she think about the Glock? Some people find that they are too thick. If this is the case then consider the Beretta .32 acp Tomcat. With Silvertips or other quality defensive ammo this is a decent home/personal defense gun. I've heard too many women complain that the Sig .380 and Walter PPK pistols hurt their hand with the jolt when they recoil. Too much 'snap.' Consider instead the heavier, wider-bodied Beretta 84 .380 acp which damps the recoil more effectively than the lighter Sig n Walter .380s. This model Beretta also holds more bullets. With high capacity magazines you have a 13+1 capacity. If your sister finds the Glock acceptable, it is a better choice because of the more potent caliber availability. In fact, as a home/personal defense handgun the Glock is hard to beat. I would go with the Glock Model 19 in .9mm which is compact but manageable and a full-size .9mm. With high cap mags and night sights this is an excellent home/self defense handgun. If she can handle the slim Glock 36 in .45 acp, more power to her. The Glock 26 in .9mm with good defensive or pre-fragmented ammo is also a good choice. This is what I got one of my daughters. First choice: Glock Model 36 in .45 acp (if she can handle it); Second: Glock Model 19 in .9mm (use good defensive/pre-frag ammo. Third: Glock Model 26 in .9mm (again good ammo). Best. H
  • →what kind of glock should i buy?
    2007-10-17 20:35:57
i love glocks, i think they look awesome. but i'm wondering about what type i should get. i've shot 44 mags and love em' recoil is not a problem at all. i allmost perfer a gun with a little kick. but i'm trying to think about everything. PRICE OF BULLETS- (price of gun dosen't really matter) the gun would mainly be used for finishing off wounded game, hunting small game and target shooting. i've looked in to the glock 19-23-25-36-22-40 i like them all but i rather compact not sub or full sized guns. i also don't care for the coloring of the 25 and 36 i'm not sure if all of those guns come solid black or if they also come in the gun metal color. i think you should know what i want. please help this has been driving me crazy!!!!!
