Review Detail:

FastEddie98, Here are the guidelines I use to clean mine. 1) After the purchase - Even w/ a new gun. Strip all lubrication because the stuff they use at the factory is often intended to prevent corrosion instead of lubricate moving parts. 2) After every shooting - I generally clean the bore as soon as I get home and later that night clean the bore again as well as the frame, slide, etc. 3) After exposure to the elements - Hunting trips, carrying in the snow, rain, dessert, etc. I know Glocks are supposed to be able to take a high degree of abuse, but don't neglect cleaning. Most failures I've seen that were not related to the ammunition could be attributed to improper cleaning and care. Things like extractors and firing pins can malfunction because of small particles and deposits. For a good source of cleaning information go to http://www.sigarms.com/academy/resources
