Review Summary: Glock-22

Diffinitely A Police Duty Weapon
Reviewed By sgtf109 on Mar 18 2003
Manufacturer: Glock
The good qualities: Mostly good quality, visable sights, good pointability, good low bore to arm alignment, descent price, very good reputation.
The bad qualities: needs metal sights, all parts in upper receiver sould be metal only. Glock needs to cut down full service weapon heights for concealability and still have barrel lenght of 4.49 in.
In a NutShell: Great duty weapon in a belt holster, but not for concealed carry during summer months
Recommended: yes

Quality: 4

Review Detail:

Originally owned a G17 then the mag. ban came about so traded it in on a G22. I figured if your gonna carry a 10 round mag in your weapon it might as well be big bore .40 S& W. The G22 is a really good pointer and shoots well considering your throwing a snappy .40 S&W down range. This weapon is a bit too high from the butt to top of sights to carry concealed in summer months, but ok to carry in a shoulder rig for the colder months when you can wear a jacket. I carried mine in a duty holster and it didn't wear the skin off my hip from the weight. For a big bore caliber its good to know you have 10 rounds ready to kick ass, and to have 2-10 round mags on my belt just in case. I would diffinitely say Glock is the way to go BUT ! beware of the recalls on certain models. Glock is not the best of admitting or notifiying customers about potential problems.
