Review Summary: Glock-23

Glock 23 .40
Reviewed By sroberts on Mar 19 2003
Manufacturer: Glock
The good qualities: Love tritum sights, high comacity for mid size frame, function and action very intuitive, large supply of accessories, consistant trigger pull, light weight even when loaded. Take down can be tricky..awkward very small double "slide" release buttons are very stiff.
The bad qualities: Magazine does not drop out automatically when emptied for rapid mag. change (pushing the release button of course)...maybe because of plasic light weight mag.
In a NutShell: Strightforward design, simple to clean, very reliable, great accessory availability, good accuracy, perfect size, light weight.

Review Detail:

I will admit that I am a Sig man and have always been a Sig man. However, I was recently at a gun show and saw the G 23 and loved the perfect size and love the .40 cal round. This G 23 had the tritium night sights (nice) and the price was right...so I bought it. I have put about 300 rounds through it and LOVE IT!! I have gone from my regular carry Sig 239 .40 to the G 23 .40. It's a little bigger, but NOT bulky...just right. Plus it holds 10 rounds plus one in the pipe...safely! I love all of the safety features on this weapon. The ONLY negative I can say is the accuracy could be a little better...my Sig beats it hands down. Of course, we are talking about 2 1/2 groups compared to 3-3 1/2 inch groups at 25 yds. No big deal really...all shots are EASILY placed well in center mass even after
