Review Summary: Glock-29

Happy Glock Owner
Reviewed By Louis W. Babin on Aug 22 2003
Manufacturer: Glock
The good qualities: This is what you would have if you made a slightly down-sized .44 Mag. Pistol Cartridge and made a compact Pistol for it...AWSOME! No malfunctions using Factory Ammo. The perfect replacement for 1911 45!
The bad qualities: Nose heavy and you have to know how to shoot Magnum Pistols to control felt recoil(and you can,t be afraid of substantial Muzzle blast!)
In a NutShell: The Glock 29 10mm is the only Pistol that amounts to a 10 shot compact CCW,in your belt,.44 Magnum you will find that is practical to shoot and(like all Glocks Ive owned)will NOT malfunction using good factory Ammo.

Review Detail:

I have owned many so-called Magnum Pistols(1911 45/Desert Eagle .50/Glock 29 10mm...which I refer to as a .40 cal. Magnum because of longer .40 cal. case and oversize primer) I have no felt recoil problem with 1911 45,a little recoil issue with Glock 29,and substantial recoil issue with Desert Eagle .50 even though all are fine Magnum Pistols. Considering the Glock 29 10mm power and slightly smaller then Colt 1911 .45,this is the only Pistol to consider if you want to be sure of'blowing somebody away'with one or two shots. When I am qualifying for CCW on Firing Line with my Glock 29,when I shoot the people to my left and right can feel the pressure wave hit them as the 3 foot flame exits the front Barrel...WOW! When we fire on order from Instructor the sound is;bang...bang...BOOM...bang...,guess which one was the 10mm Glock 29!(the BOOM!)
