Review Summary: Glock-36

Glock 36 vs 30 vs 21 and LaserMax for the near-sighted middle-agers.
Reviewed By on Sep 2 2003
Manufacturer: Glock
The good qualities: The G36 is thin enough to conceal while offering the powerful .45 ACP. Nothing less will do for me.
The bad qualities: Low cap magazine & thin for my big hands.
In a NutShell: The G36 offers the most for the money. It is a powerful .45 ACP, small enough to conceal without a jacket and it's extremely durable. I highly recommend it highly.

Review Detail:

I've carried daily with a CCW for over 15 years; starting with a J-frame and moving up to a 1911 Colt .45 . I wanted the power of the .45 ACP with more capacity and rust resistance so I got a high-cap G21 10+ years ago. It was fine in a belt holster under a jacket. Using a PagerPal holster without a jacket, the butt extended above my belt. This is a problem now that I never wear a jacket any more. I tried a G30 and it stayed out of sight. Problem is that the butt shows through my jeans below the belt and a few people seemed to notice. Concealability is the key word for me. I don't want anyone to notice that I'm carrying. Wanting more concealability, I bought a G36 and found that, although it's slightly thinner, it's nearly indiscernable to others. My large hand fits the 2
