| The good qualities: |
Glock pistols possess excellent qualities and the MOD 23 is one of the most versitle. It is light to carry, quick to the hand and sure to be on target if you look down the sights at what your trying to hit.
What I like most about a GLOCK pistol is that you do not have to stop and unlock it to fire it. I do not want to stop and unlock a firearm in a respond or be injuried situation anymore than I want to face locked fire extinguishers in a burning building. Who has the keys...cough..cough...? Yet a GLOCK is one of the safest carry guns manufactured. I have never had one go bang unless I intended it to.
The MOD 23 is a great all around size and in a caliber that suits target shooters, self defense needs and even casual carry in the field. It possesses all the usual charicteristics of it's siblings, light, reliable and nearly indestructable.
If you want a pistol but can only have one; unless your needs are very specific, make it a 23. I would recomend you get a plug (it fills the void in the pistols grip behind the mag well) and a .22 CAL conversion. |
| The bad qualities: |
If you are not versed in firing centerfire pistols it will seem like it makes a lot of noise and "kick". However you bought a 40 CAL because you thought you may need it so practice and get used to it. |
