Glock has made the best pistol on the market, hands down. I have been shooting Glocks since they were introduced in the US and they are definitely a "cut above" the rest. I have several Glocks and they are all perfectly reliable and frightfully accurate! There is nothing more to say.

The G21 is like any Glock, a workhorse of a machine. For protection it's the best in its class. I trust it with my life.

its a great pistol from a to z. the accuracy repeatability in the 21 is second to none. oh yeah, they dont jam. the thread i just read on the review by micky g makes me want to choke him out, it seems he has never owned one much less fired one ,yet rates the 21 a piece of crap. what an idiot to comment on something hes never used.

bought myself a G21 after owning a Beretta 92f. I couldn't hit a thing with the Beretta. Now with the Glock I'm back on track.... shooting nicely again....

The Glock 21 compares very favorably with two other .45's I own, Baer Custom 5 and a Sig 245. The Glock 21 will hold 1.5" @ 25 yards off the bag (4.8 grs. Bullseye & Hornady 230 FMJ). The Baer can best this, but only slightly. The Sig runs about 3.0" at 25 yds. I like the 21 very much and intend to shoot it in IDPA and Action Pistol in place of the Baer. Regarding KB's, the only one I have experienced was a new .40 H&K. Just as well, the accuracy was atrocious. Also, have witnessed three Kimber KB's. Perhaps too many MIM parts.

In the mid-1960, HK gained international prominence with the design and manufacture of the 9mm Machinenpistole 5 (MP5), soon to become the world's most popular submachine gun, embraced by special operations forces worldwide. A variety of models have been added over the past thirty years but the MP5 remains the preeminent arm of its class. Also during 1960, HK perfected the polygonal profile barrel. Deemed superior to conventional "lands-and-grooves" rifling, the polygonal bore profile effectively seals propellant gases behind the bullet - increasing bullet velocity. An added advantage to the polygonal profile barrel is that it will outlast a "lands-and-grooves barrel" by thousands of rounds. Handgun development also commanded the attention of HK designers and engineers during these years. In 1969, a reworking of the delayed-locked roller bolt system was introduced in a pistol - the P9S. Acclaimed for its accuracy, the P9S was officially embraced by several elite military units, including the US Navy SEALS. However, the most radical feature of the P9S was its design. The receiver was designed using a newly developed high-tech plastic composite called polymer, which molded around the steel frame. With the development of another polymer framed HK handgun, the futuristic VP70, these models predated by more than fifteen years the introduction of polymer framed handguns by competing firms. When was the company started and the history behind it? 1963 - Glock GesmbH established in Deutsch-Wagram 1963 - Glock's first product: plastic curtain rods 1970s - Plastic kitchen boxes, machine gun ammo belts, shovels, and utility knives are offered. 1980 - Company founder Gaston Glock starts developing a gun 1982 - The Austrian army decides on the Glock 17 1984 - With service in the Norwegian army, the Glock leaves Austria 1986 - G18 introduced 1986 - Glock Inc. in Smyrna, GA, established 1988 - G17L and G19 introduced 1988 - All Glocks get serrated frontstraps and backstraps 1990 - G22 and G23 introduced: the first ever .40 S&W guns 1990 - G20 and G21 introduced 1994 - G24 introduced 1995 - G25, G26 and G27 introduced 1997 - G29 and G30 introduced 1998 - G31, G32, G33, G34, G35 introduced 1999 - G36 introduced H&K has more experience than does Glock. So who really copied who? No doubt that Glock is an excellent pistol. But I would rather have the H&K. I almost boght a Glock until I shot one and I was not impressed with the feel of the recoil. Shoot the H&K for yourself so you can feel the difference with H&K's patented reciol reduction system (dual recoil springs).
