Barber-Feb 28 2004 I've been shooting guns for many years now, i've owned and shot more than most. The Glock 36 is an excellent gun. The light weight and the 45 cal. are hard to beat. Glocks are known for their reliability, durabilty and ease of operation, the Glock 36 i'm sure will not disapoint anyone. This gun is a shooter, pull the trigger and it goes bang everytime but make sure you don't limp wrist limp the Glock 36, this can cause failures to extract. Accuracy is pretty good especially from a gun this size.
I also have a Karh K-40, this is another excellent gun, it would be a very hard task to pick which one was the best.

-Jan 1 2004 Light and easy to conceal and carry. About 800 rounds with no reliability issues. Two inch groups from a standing position and very easy to deploy quickly.
I highly recomend the Glock 36. Details..

-Nov 10 2003 This is a great conceal carry gun you can depend upon. Glock is the "golds standard" in rugged, impervious to the elements handgun. For a full size duty .45 ACP, I would recommend the Sig P220. You cannot go wrong with the "36". Details..

-Sep 7 2003 I'm a former RECON Marine and now a PI and I carry. I switched to Glock from my Colt Gold Cup Nat'l Match in the late 80's when my wife bought me a G-17. It immediately earned its place as top carry gun due to its reliability & accuracy. Since then I have purchased the 21 (sold - I have small hands), the G-23, and the G-27. I have no complaints and have enjoyed carrying the 23 and 27, but I really longed for the 45 power. Last week I bought a Kimber Limited Edition Ultra SP II (you wont find it in the book- it was truly limited) and fired about 200 rounds of 230 ball and had a FTF about every other mag. And after shooting Glock for over 12 yrs I kept forgetting to release the thumb safety before the first shot which slowed me down on the first shot. Anyway, I sure didnt feel warm & f Details..

-Sep 2 2003 I am a 30 year LEO and have carried everything from a model 10 S&W .38 to my latest love, the G36. The G36 is a fantastic shooter and a nice easy carry. It is great for a Supervisor. With two extra +1 mags, you have all the fire power you will ever need. The +1 grip really makes the gun for conventional carry. Details..

lazy8-Sep 2 2003 I've carried daily with a CCW for over 15 years; starting with a J-frame and moving up to a 1911 Colt .45 .
I wanted the power of the .45 ACP with more capacity and rust resistance so I got a high-cap G21 10+ years ago. It was fine in a belt holster under a jacket. Using a PagerPal holster without a jacket, the butt extended above my belt. This is a problem now that I never wear a jacket any more.
I tried a G30 and it stayed out of sight. Problem is that the butt shows through my jeans below the belt and a few people seemed to notice. Concealability is the key word for me. I don't want anyone to notice that I'm carrying.
Wanting more concealability, I bought a G36 and found that, although it's slightly thinner, it's nearly indiscernable to others. My large hand fits the 2 Details..

-Aug 20 2003 I have been shooting a Mdl. 19 for over ten years and found it to be very reliable. However I wanted a 45. Tried the Mdl. 21 but it was too big The Mdl. 30 seemed out of proportion for me also. The Mdl. 36 is "just right". I have about 500 rnds through mine so far without a problem. Seems to like Federal Hydra-shocks. Great gun for legal concealed carry. This one shoots straight.
I don't miss the Hi-cap mags of the Mdl. 19., however I don't plan to get rid of them any time soon.
