Got this piece a year ago and found it to be a great personal defense weapon. First thing one notices is that it was designed for shooters with smaller hands. I have smaller hands and grasping a full .45 ACP frame proved a bit hard for me. The Glock 37 .45 GAP is actually designed around the frame of a 9mm, which makes for a smaller grip. Secondly, the .45 GAP was a difficult caliber to find when it first came out. That said, as demand for this caliber of pistol round has increased, more and more manufacturers have begun offering this round. In all, I think the .45 Glock is in it for the long haul and is not going anywhere anytime soon. If you want the power of a .45 ACP in a smaller package, this Glock is for you.

Challange to the M1911, the .45GAP is shorter than the .45ACP but offers the same performance. About the same length as the 17 but taller. Can't go wrong with the .45 stopping power.

Got this a few years ago and found it to be a good gun for an owner who is looking for specific characteristics. Notably a gun for those with smaller hands. Not a big advantage for those who get along with the Glock 21 .45 ACP. I have found the price of the .45 GAP to be higher but the tradeoff is a carry in .45 that has a more compact grip.
