I am law enforcement, just point and shoot. I have also smaller hands and dont like other manufacturers with the multi-safety features. The more simpler, the better. And thats what this is. If you want simplicity, fire-power, dependability, and a dang fun to shoot weapon, Glock is the way to go! Thats all me and my buds on the force carry for our belt holsters, the Glock 22!!!!!!

I purchased this gun while in the military, and through the rod and gun club on base, I got a incredible deal. I was able to pick up a brand new glock 22 with 3 magazines for $469.00, still sealed in the original packaging. This gun is by far the best gun Iv'e ever shot or owned. The recoil is minimal fo a larger caliber gun, and with very little practice I was able to get groupings of less than 2.5 inches at 25 yards. It is a gun I would recomend to anyone.

I had a 92FS and did not like the trigger on it or the safety. Went to a G21 (.45 ACP) and it was too big for my hand. Tried a friend's G-22 and fell in love with it. Now my wife wants one too.

I shoot with most of the guns that are manufactured. I shoot with nearlly all the hand guns that there are. I even shoot all the callibers that are on the reloading manuals in many different type of bullets. I have experimented in many different type of shooting ranges, I shoot on the beach, on the dessert, on the country, even on the streets!! I shoot in many different ocasions, I CANNOT find another gun or calliber that gives me all I need in only one gun. Long live Glock.

Great gun. Very accurate and easy to shoot. I put on some Meprolight night sights and a Hogue grip and it's ready to rock. This gun is easy to handle with very light recoil and it eats ammo. Only two FTF's in the first 850 rounds and that was due to a 2nd generation hi cap mag I bought used. Tossed it and no problems since. I also have a G17 9mm which is a dream to shoot, even though I am more accurate with the G22, but I like the extra punch of the .40 for protection. I can shoot 2" groups at 30 ft. all day without any effort and it loves Hydra-Shocks. I highly recommend this gun to anyone seeking a superior weapon for personal protection.

One question: I just bought my Glock 22 today and it hasn't even arrived. However, I've put nearly 1500 rounds through the range Glock 22 and 22C. I love the minimal recoil I get with the compensated 22. What is the down side to getting a compensated semiautomatic rather than a standard? If its smoother and easier to shoot, there must be reasons why everyone doesn't shoot them.

I think the Glock 22 is a great handgun. I qualified with it in rookie school this past week and shot a 99.6 (out of possible 100) on the practice firing. I would highly reccommend this gun for someone not wanting something as powerful as a .45, but yet something with more kick than a 9mm, like I wanted.

The Glock is the best choice for law enforcement use. It's no wonder why every Federal Agency issues Glocks. At first they adopted 9mm, but most guys now have G-22's. With the right ammo the .40 S&W is just as good if not better in overall performance than the .45 ACP. Old timers will disagree but check it out yourself on the Winchester law enforcement ammo web site. My department carries 165 gr. Partion Gold in .40 S&W. And 230 gr. SXT in .45 ACP. Bullet penatration and expansion are almost identical however the the .40 Glock is smaller, holds more ammo, flater trajectory, and better penatration through obsticles. I also use a G-27 for a back-up, it's nice that if anything should happen to my G-22 (murphy's law) I can put my full size G-22 mags in the G-27.
