It was my first encounter with a Glock Gun. Friend took me to the range to shoot his G19, so I rented the G26 to test shoot. I shoot 100 rounds thru each Glock. The G26 outperfomed the G19 and G26 was more accurate at the 7 and 10 yard ranges, using the same ammo in both guns. The owner of the G19 is now getting a G26 becuase he never shot that well before with any gun. Two more folks converted to the G26. However, I might consider Ghost Rings Night Sights as an upgrade to the G26.

After badmouthing Glock pistols as high-priced plastic toys for many years, even though I never had fired one, something changed. I moved from the gun-restrictive North to the more enlightened South, where concealed carry is allowed. After I got my permit, I found that my full-sized Colt .45 auto, Browning Hi-Power and S&W .357 mid framer were all too heavy and bulky to carry around. My S&W Chiefs Special concealed well, but five rounds of .38 special ain't the greatest, and I've never been a expert double action shooter, what with a ten plus pound release. I wanted a gun that would point like like my hi-power, carry as light as my .38, have a decent magazine capacity and be gimmick and trouble free. After a lot of rental gun shooting at a couple ranges over the month, with compact .45's, 40's and 9mm's, I finally chose the Glock 26 with factory-installed night sights. Since I picked her up at the beginning of this week, I've put 400 rounds down range. The accuracy is good for a carry weapon, (no flyers) and the pointing is natural. I like the flat, heavy slide over the lighter frame......it all just works right. The recoil of a 9mm is light anyhow, but this baby barks no worse than my hi-power, at half the weight. I had to spend a little time getting used to the trigger and the short-grip, two-finger hold dynamics. While it feels like a double action, it trips off like a single, with a five pound break. Amazing. Now, the best part. No stovepipes, no feeding failures, none! I figured it would jam during break-in, but it didn't happen. A real confidence-builder. No manual safeties to remember. Just load it, pull the trigger, it goes "boom". Rock-solid reliable. The take-down for cleaning is simple; no tools required. Over the years, I've had my share of reliability problems with pistols, but I never much cared, because it was always only target practise. With a carry gun, it's a whole different situation. So now, I'm a convert. GLOCK ON !

I bought a Glock 26 a few months ago for concealed carry, and have been very pleased. I have always liked .45 for the stopping power, but with the new +p and +p+ cartridges available the 9mm really packs a punch. Allows quicker recovery on target for multiple attacker situation. The gun has no soul, it wont win a beauty contest, but you cant stop it. I love glocks, but dont let the "never jams" stories fool ya, glocks will jam on limp wristed shooters. Because of the lightweight polymer receiver, the slide has to have more inertia to shuck the empty. Not a problem for me, but female shooters can have trouble with it. A+

I have never been a 9mm fan, until now. The G26 is a great weapon for self defense, and target plinking. I will be taking it with me when my unit is deployed to Afganistan for a year. The Al Quida will be introduced to Glock if I have anything to say about it. I dont understand why the Army doesn't drop the Berretta and go with the Glock.

I've had mine for nearly a year now and can't complain. I've shot 1911's for years and love them, but I wanted a pistol that I could conceal in summer and winter, any kind of clothes, 24/7. This lead me to consider offerings from Glock, HK, Sig, Kahr, Kel-Tec, Springfield Armory, Kimber and some others. I was attracted to the Glock because it is small and fairly lightweight, yet is strong enough to take any ammo you care to put through it. It is very simple mechanically and also in operation. The Tenifer finish is also nice in summer as is the polymer frame since I sweat a lot. Now that I've had it and put about 2500+ rounds through it, I'll tell you that I don't regret my decision at all. I've had all of 2 malfunctions, both of them failures to fire due to the ammo. One was a

Extremely very reliable, will never let you down made from the begining with the capability of handling not only +P Ammunition but even +P+, and even Carbine Rounds such as The UZI IMI Carbine round which is the exact same rounds that there tested with at Glock. and also Proof rounds at the factory for testing, there isn't no other firearm in its size that's capable of achieving that at all. And yet the little baby never even gets a slight hic up. Great Protection, get one you'll never ever go wrong. But do get it with either Meprolights or Trijicons, Meprolights look nicer but the trijicon are much more brighter in the dark. PCK

I have shot many different hand guns but never a Glock till recently. I took my CHL class and they used Glock's (17) at the range to qualify. It had a great action but as you know a little hard to conceal. My brother has had a 26 for years and loves it and never had a jam. So I purchased one about 2 weeks ago. Could not wait to go to the range. Well I was not disappointed. It shot great with no problems. I put 250 rounds of CCI throught it that morning with no jams or problems. It is a great gun and I highly recommend it to anyone needing a gun that is light, compact but delivers when called upon. I hope I never have to use it, however if I ever do I know its ready and will not disappoint me.
