-Apr 21 2002 I have a Glock 23 today and am looking to add a .45 to my collection. I have narrowed my search to the Glock 21 & Glock 36. I will be testing out both of these weapons at a local range to see which one works better for me, however I would like to know which one of these guns you would be purchasing if you were in my shoes. Thank you. Details..

-Apr 19 2002 I've had my glock 36 for 7 months now and have been carrying for 1 month since I had to wait half a year for my damn permit. Anyways, I have only had "failure to feed" malfunctions once. I realized that It was do to the reloaded ammo I was using instead of factory ammo. Also, you can have a skilled gunsmith smooth out your bore entry. Besides this, I too experienced the finger pinch, but once you add on the Pierce add one extension, its the best feeling handgun around and it gets you to hold 8 rounds( 1 n the chamber or else it wouldn't be loaded!) I love this gun so much with the plus one I'm gonna get another one. Also, check out www.topglock.com, they've got some really useful products. Details..

-Apr 16 2002 I had one "Failure to Feed" in my first 200 round shoot at the range. It happened with a magazine with a "Plus One" extension. I've read some other postings reporting problems using the Plus One extension on the 36. I'm also aware that "Failure to Feed" problems are not uncommon during the "Break In" period. Although there are 10% stronger magazine springs available that are supposed to eliminate "Failure to Feed" problems, I'm going to wait to see how the weapon performs after the "Break In" period. Regardless, I'm opting for the stock six shot magazine for concealed carry. (For reliability AND concealment reasons.)
Everything else about the 36 was impressive.
In addition, I personally DID NOT experience the reported "Finger Pinch" at ANY TIME with EITHER MAGAZINE. Details..

-4/14/2002 Police officer w/23 yrs, duty carry is G-21. I own G-36 for off duty. Great gun. Easy to conceal and not hog leg heavy. The little fire pisser does PINCH the little finger in conventional grip. Glock representive was no help with the problem. However, moving the little finger under the clip or installing the Pierce extention solves the problem. G-36 shoots a tighter group then G-21 @ 25 yrds. Recoil is a non-issue. Females have no problem with weapon. MUCH eaiser to carry off-duty then the G-30 I previously owned. Details..

-4/8/2002 glock m 36 hmmmm?
Well I believe any glock is a great CCW self defence tool. This is true that they are getting more comfortable in the hand but the mag caps are more and more nearing the revolver level. Sure it is a give and take but I cant believe that 8 45s can compare to 20 9mms .
I will say that the 36 is a great addition to the family having sent over 1000 rds down range but 3 malfunctions ??? wow it makes me think since I dont carry one in the chamber.
I have sent $5000 dollors worth of 9mm allways into center mass at 50+ meters and never had 1 problem.
Does the 36 compare to the 17?

-Mar 29 2002 I bought a 36 last week, my first Glock, and it is a truly fantastic carry gun. The recoil and muzzle flip are quite controlable and certainly no more than on other.45's and it's size and accuracy make up for any shortcomings. I have always disliked Glocks because of the grip size, but this one was made for my hand. It is a superb gun and I am certainly pleased with it beyond description. Details..

-Mar 25 2002 I have a 36 with the Pearce plus one's installed. I had not experienced the pinch until after I installed the extensions. I like the feel of the extra length of the grip, but am not happy with the movement of the Pearce grip extensions, which is where I thought or assumed that was where the pinching was coming from. I'll try one more time, and if I still have the same feeling in my fingers, then the 36 is history. Thanks, Dick Details..
