I'm 15, and I hust fired my dad's glock-17 at Osama targets :) I dont have much to compare it to, but it is a great gun. Light, durable- we just picked it up and shot it after 15 years of storage, and it worked without a hitch.

The G17 is a superb tactical weapon under any situation, yeilding both extreme reliability and accuracy(Mine does 1.25" at 25 yrd). The 9mm is an adequate fight stopper, though Id rather have a .357 Sig or .45. The .45 is quite far from sluggish however, and calibers such as it have an enviable street record, one not nearly equalled by the 10mm or .40 SW. But the testament I give is that the G17 is what stays underneath my pillow at night.

G17, it is a gun that you can carry it every day and use it under pannic situation, but for fun? I will stick with the Infinity .40

NATO 9mm is cheap to shoot, lets face it I dont want to spend too much $$$ on the criminal that is going to break into my house and treaten my family.
The reality of the m17 is it is the best self defence pistol in production as of 040802 and my
daughter can put 10 rds into someone's teeth at 25 meters and her hands are small.
The m17 is proven and it has made the biggest leap in handguns since the semi auto.

The Glock 17 is an awesome pistol. I see IDF soldiers use them in combat. If you don't believe me check out the IDF. It's their standard pistol. They even made modifications to their latest uzi so that it will accept Glock magazines. If you don't believe that either look it up on a search engine. Glock works. Get ready to bite the dust terrorists. Adonai is on our side.
