sgtf109usa-Mar 24 2003 Just bought a G23 its fantastic! Its now part of my G22 team. Glock is the ticket for your handgun needs. The G23 is great for CCW and range work. I have a Lazermax guide tube set up in mine and the laser helps with point shooting. BUT alsways depend on your iron sights FIRST! I recommend this G23 to any and everybody ! Details..

sroberts-Mar 19 2003 I will admit that I am a Sig man and have always been a Sig man. However, I was recently at a gun show and saw the G 23 and loved the perfect size and love the .40 cal round. This G 23 had the tritium night sights (nice) and the price was right...so I bought it. I have put about 300 rounds through it and LOVE IT!! I have gone from my regular carry Sig 239 .40 to the G 23 .40. It's a little bigger, but NOT bulky...just right. Plus it holds 10 rounds plus one in the pipe...safely! I love all of the safety features on this weapon. The ONLY negative I can say is the accuracy could be a little better...my Sig beats it hands down. Of course, we are talking about 2 1/2 groups compared to 3-3 1/2 inch groups at 25 yds. No big deal really...all shots are EASILY placed well in center mass even after Details..

-Mar 7 2003 I own 4 Glock 23's(as well as 14 other handguns). 2 are salted away for the future, 1 is a dedicated carry gun, with me at all times, the 4th is a practice gun with over 20,000 rounds through it. All are stock with Glock 3.5lb connectors, skateboard tape on the front strap, and the rear sight in backwards(black side to the shooter).
The practice gun has had a few broken parts, a chipped extractor, a rear frame rail disappeared,(Glock replaced the whole lower receiver free of charge), and a split locking block. All defects were found after range time, with the gun NEVER FAILING to function!
Most important rule!....JACKETED BULLETS ONLY!..Any kind you like. BUT NEVER, EVER LEAD SEMI-WADCUTTERS.
I've gone "full circle" on these guns...Shoot IPSC with a 1911, but carry a G23...DVC Details..

-Feb 14 2003 I just picked up the g23 at my local retailer and it was a hard decision. I was tossed between the g23 and the g27. Both are .40 The trouble was that I want to have the gun for both home protection and carry. I am not totally sure the g23 will be concealed enough. After some serious consideration I went with the g23 and figured that if it was too big then someone would be intrested in it and I could score the g27. I was a very big beretta fan and enjoyed the heavy gun and low recoil but after talking to several folks about parts breaking often and craked barrels, the glock in general was the best choice. -Feb 4 2003 the glock 23 is a great mid-sized carry pistol.i replaced the factory box'dot sights with tritium three dot sight and accuracy improved dramatically. this gun can be carried all day with no problem what so ever. with pre-ban magazines, this pistol is perfect for most any situation. with a tactical light attached to the rail, you have a great home defense bedside pistol.this pistol is very accurate and easy to handle even with the most powerful .40 caliber defensive ammunition.
