All of the research I did before purchasing a concealed weapon kept leading me to the Glock 26. I went with teh odds and bought one. I'm glad I did. It is just what the fans of Glocks say it is. Reliable, accurate, and easy to conceal. I only own Glocks now and have no reason to look elsewhere. Gaston got it right.

I own many Glocks and I haven't yet had one I didn't trust my life with and the 26 is no exception. This little gun is like the Energizer Bunny. It just keeps going and going. Like with my models 27 and 30, I replaced the factory guide rod with a captured stainless steel guide rod as soon as I got it. (I'm sure the factory rods are great, but the stainless is meant for lots of shooting). And after having fired well over 6,000 rounds it has never failed or burped in any way. It is extremely accurate and like all Glocks, taking it down is a breeze. This is one fine weapon that I would recommentd to anyone. After all it is a Glock.

I'm writing this review because I have a problem with my Glock where the clip accidentally ejects. The clip release button sticks out so far that if something in my waist pack or pocket presses it the clip ejects. This is a major design flaw if you ask me since the Glock 26 is designed to be concealed. Glock should do something about this. An ejected clip in a gun fight will surly get you killed. Someone told me that have the same problem but filed the clip release button down so it has more of a low profile.

I needed a good backup/off-duty weapon and chose the G26. I carry a G17 on duty, and love the fact that the full-size mags work in the subcompact. I can conceal the weapon easily off duty under just a t-shirt using my clipdraw carry option. And on duty, I can tuck this little marvel in my vest and it is always ready. Tried Kel-tec, Wirweights, etc, and nothing comes close to the accuracy.

Had it for a year, I've had P-35's, 1911's, CZ's and larger Glocks, this is simply the best. Fires everything you can load it with, even reloads. And is always on you no matter what clothing.

This is the absolute ideal weapon for conceal and carry. Small in size, weight, incredibly accurate and reliable.
